Ah, I think it must be that I'm using the Light version. It's 3.0 build 848.

well i know for a fact that the actual latest version of FDM (b871) is not listed in their official downloads page. you have to get it somewhere from the forum. also, there is no FDM lite for the latest version anyway, it appears.

i should really update this (if i ever get the time  )
the max connections allowed it about 4-7 depending on how the connection limiter really prefers it (it's random, but sometimes/always between those values). doesn't matter which download manager you use really, you'll just get limited. for max performance, download 1 file at a time, and use as many split parts on it as you want til you reach a good speed - not saying it will work fast all the time though, depends really on the host and how many people are already downloading.

if you're lucky to start that many at once, then you'll be limited to around 1 or 2 connections per download - it all depends on which 'takes over' (or 'connects') first, split parts per file, or individual file connections.

what filehosts were you downloading files from which were giving these errors? please open a tracker ticket and let me know there, because i try to prevent html output in download managers but it can happen if a filehost changes or adds error messages to their site where i can miss it (you can open those small-byte files in your browser or notepad and see what it says inside, might give you an idea of why the file was downloaded).

Keep it at 4 and download 2 files at the same time. Or let it at 8 and download 1 file at a time.

BTW, check your PM, you owe us some money :P
